Executive, Business Development

  1. General
  • Assist superior in various duties as depicted in the following sections.
  1. Bid Management
  • Bid management processing and managing order levels maintaining the CRM database.
  • Adhering to all quality standards and processes, for the acquisition of clients, opportunities and submission of tenders and contract documents. Reviewing the Request of Proposals (RFP) / Expression of Interest (EOI) for various governmental or non- governmental projects and coordinate closely with the engineers to ensure that the objective of business proposal submissions are fulfilled.
  • Developing and systemize business/commercial strategies and account plan for priority accounts ensuring the achievement of tenders and profit targets within set budgets (i.e. Bearpalm)
  • Applying companywide project management standards in bid preparations and contracts, responding to client needs and managing the sales process from opportunity identification to client sign off.
  1. License and Company Registrations:
  • In-charge company’s vendor registrations and licensing with various local government authorities, international funding agencies and non-governmental bodies.
  1. Secretariat:
  • Responsible in arranging and following up on the Internal Business Meeting involving the Top Management and the Senior Management.

    • Business Group Meetings
  1. Business Development:
  • Day-to-day duty in conducting online web searches for business opportunities, tenders and identifying all appropriate prospective projects / clients in the private or governmental sectors i.e. ADB, Government Agencies, etc.
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive market intelligence & business research.
  • Keeping Management and Divisions informed of development of opportunities including market trends, competitor issues and document regular win/lost after each client decision. (Compilation through BD Group Meetings, emails)
  • Responsible in assessment pertaining to the failure of submitted business proposals and keep the gathered information in a database for internal reference.
  • Assist in maintaining and regularly updating the relevant information onto the eDocument Management System (all promotional data i.e. Project Database, Expert List, etc.)
  • Assist in management and administration activities within division as directed
  • Build and maintain good relationship with Client
  • Assist in preparing consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal. (Checking all compliance requirements)
  • Assist superior in carrying out sales and marketing strategies.
  1. Training and Self-Development
  • Undergo on-the-job training
  • Making effort for self-improvement
  • Develop new and/or enhance existing Biz Dev. strategies and procedures to improve efficiency of the Department
  1. Others
  • Completes special projects by organizing and coordinating information and requirements; planning, arranging, and meeting schedules; monitoring results.
  • Performing other tasks as required by management and company.
  • Involve in company’s activities including corporate social responsibility activities.
  • To carry out all tasks related to Minconsult’s operation as directed

 

Requirements:

  • Possess a recognized degree in Engineering/ Business Studies/ Administration/ Economics/ Finance or related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years working experience in similar capacity.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience in preparing spreadsheets and presentations, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication, skills both verbal & written
  • A multitasker with the ability to handle pressure, solve tough problems and meet deadlines
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • A Good analytical mind, able to analyze data and statistics and translate results into better solutions
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge
