1. General
• Assisting HOD in daily operation to ensure the functioning of the division.
• Entrusted with a leadership role, a manager is responsible to ensure all projects undertaking are
successfully implemented and accomplishing client’s requirements.
• Outline strategic planning in project implementation i.e resources, financial, work schedule etc.
• Working closely with HOD, engineers and subordinates towards meeting division KPI’s.
2. Key Roles
• Leading geotechnical design team in planning, feasibility study, preliminary design, detailed design, tender and construction stage by giving technical advice on the design concept.
• To check and review the design and drawings, tender evaluation and contract administration
• As a project leader, the main responsibility is to coordinate works with other divisions to ensure the project been implemented effectively
• To attend technical, site, client-consultant meetings and internal meetings between divisions.
• Involved in preparing submission of RFP and EOI in project bidding.
• To ensure the implementation of ISO procedures i.e PQP, Work Instruction, Method Statement, Inspection and Test plan etc.
• To maintain good relationships with Clients for project continuity and business development.
• To provide guidance to the engineers and subordinates by giving on-job training for self development
• To appraise staff performance based on KPI result.
Requirements:
• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM)
• Registered with BEM as a Professional Engineer
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment
• Able to work independently.
• Able to lead a team of engineers and other staffs in undertaking multi-disciplinary project.
• Strong organizational and management skills, including the ability to prioritize workloads and meet timelines.
• Good inter-personal skills and outcome driven. A good team player
• Good command of written and spoken English. Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia
• Master’s degree in Soil Mechanics/Geotechnical Engineering and with PE (BEM) would be an advantage.
