Job Summary
Support the Senior Manager in the execution of Business Development functions including bid management, opportunity tracking, proposal coordination, and market intelligence. Assist in coordinating multi-sector pursuits and ensure timely preparation and submission of proposals in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bid & Proposal Management
- Support the Senior Manager in managing bid processes from opportunity identification through proposal submission.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and tender documents.
- Maintain and update opportunity tracking and order levels in the CRM system.
- Assist divisions in preparing commercial and financial proposals.
2. Business Development Support
- Oversee BD Secretariats for HBD Meeting.
- Assist in identifying potential clients, project opportunities, and new markets.
- Support the compilation and dissemination of information on market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities.
- Maintain records of proposal submissions and track win/loss outcomes.
3. Licensing & Compliance
- Oversee BD executives in managing company registrations, license renewals, and regulatory compliance with relevant authorities.
4. Documentation & Data Management
- Maintain and update promotional materials, company credentials, and project references within the eDocument Management System.
- Ensure BD documentation and records are accurate and accessible.
5. Department Administration
- Support the Senior Manager in carrying out administrative and coordination functions within the Business Development Department.
- Oversee the organizing of all other BD meetings, reports, and internal communications.
6. Staff Development
- Provide guidance and support to BD executives where required.
- Participate in internal training and continuous professional development.
7. Other Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing proposal documents to ensure completeness and compliance with submission requirements.
- Support special assignments and departmental initiatives as directed by the Senior Manager or Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
- Possess a recognized degree in Engineering, Business Studies, Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 10-12 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the engineering consultancy or infrastructure sector.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads, solve complex problems, and meet deadlines.
- Possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and statistics and translate findings into practical business solutions.
- Demonstrate sufficient technical understanding of engineering projects, including appreciation of project scheduling, cost reasonableness, procurement processes, and manpower planning (an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with experience in preparing spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in preparing and presenting quarterly business performance reports, project forecasts, and pipeline updates to management.
