Senior Engineer ( Civil & Structural )

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium-sized building, infrastructure, and structural component projects with guidance from the General Manager and superiors.
• Engage in all project stages from preliminary design to completion.
• Prepare feasibility studies and design briefs.
• Create detailed sketch drawings for draftspersons to develop detailed tender and construction drawings.
• Perform detailed design work and prepare specifications.
• Develop bills of quantities and schedules for infrastructure.
• Develop tender documents, including drawings and specifications.
• Prepare tender evaluation reports with client recommendations.
• Evaluate contractor submissions, including method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures, and results.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships.
• Assist in preparing Expressions of Interest and Consultancy Proposals.
• Prepare cost estimates where relevant.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with internal and external design team members.
• Liaise with authorities for drawing and document approval.
• Conduct site supervision to ensure compliance with contract documentation and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Must have Degree / Master in Civil Engineering recognized by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
• Must registered with BEM as a Graduate Engineer.
• Must have 10 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment in civil & structural projects.
