Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Petaling Jaya. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for conducting site investigations, analyzing soil properties, and providing geotechnical engineering solutions. Daily tasks will include coordinating and supervising geotechnical engineering projects, preparing engineering reports, and designing foundations. The role requires close collaboration with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and commissioning of ground investigation works including floating of tenders, tender evaluation, contract administration, etc.
- Geotechnical assessment and interpretation of results from ground investigations and laboratory testing.
- Undertake geotechnical analyses and designs including slope works, retaining structures, foundations and excavation support systems, etc.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering calculations, drawings and technical specifications.
- Working with a multi-disciplinary team and attend meetings, as required.
- Assist to prepare proposals and carrying out technical research, if required
- Display leadership quality and perform duties independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- A recognized degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5-9 years of civil engineering experience with emphasis on geotechnical-related design experience
- Design experience in foundation for heavy structures and bridges, slope stabilization and ground improvement works, etc.
- Experience in software (e.g. PLAXIS & MIDAS NXS) will be an added advantage.
