Job Descriptions
- Inspect and supervise all electrical works carried out by contractors to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor installation of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, and associated equipment.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant Malaysian standards, regulations, and authority requirements (e.g. Suruhanjaya Tenaga, TNB, local authorities).
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify non-conformance, defects, or unsafe practices, and report findings to the Engineer/Resident Engineer.
- Witness testing and commissioning of electrical installations, including functional tests and safety checks.
- Verify materials, workmanship, and installation methods used on-site are approved and meet required quality standards.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions related to electrical works, where required.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and daily site diaries related to electrical activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other site disciplines to ensure smooth execution of works.
- Assist in resolving site issues, technical queries, and coordination matters related to electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements during electrical works.
- Support progress monitoring and report on electrical work status, delays, or issues affecting project delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum relevant site experience in electrical works supervision (years of experience to be specified based on project requirements).
- Familiar with electrical standards, codes of practice, and statutory authority requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills with contractors and project teams.
- Willingness to work on-site and follow project schedules
- Proficiency in Mandarin as an added advantage
