The IT Manager role at Minconsult will lead the support and enhancement of the IT infrastructure company wide. The role will lead a team of dedicated technical personnel in providing best-in-class service to the business. The role will also participate in external projects for the implementation of software and hardware solutions (including ELV services).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of relevant hardware and software applications, including security checks of the system on a regular basis.
- Implement training schedules for all members of the team and, on occasion, for other employees.
- Arrange for regular audits of the system, often in collaboration with an IT auditor.
- Evaluate technology risks in order to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
- Manage annual budgets for the department and report such information to senior management.
- Initiate and manage major IT projects in accordance with business needs and budget restrictions, including system updates and migrations.
- Assess opportunities for improvement through inspirational leadership and innovations in IT products and processes.
- Work with project teams to analyze systems needs and design solutions.
- Attend project meetings and present status updates to leadership
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of experience working in IT operations and projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including Windows Server, MS Office, and Exchange.
- Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management, multi-tasking, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
- Relevant certifications are valued: CCNA, COBIT 5, CompTIA (Project+), CITM, or TOGAF.
- Good communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English are essential.
