Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly analytical and driven individual to join our Corporate Finance & Advisory team within an engineering consulting environment. This role focuses on financial advisory and evaluation of large-scale infrastructure projects, working closely with technical teams, clients, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting project feasibility, financial structuring, and delivery models across sectors such as transportation, energy, water, and urban development.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Advisory & Infrastructure Evaluation
- Undertake financial feasibility/business valuation assessment.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market entry proposals.
- Support management in pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecasting for major projects.
- Provide input on optimal procurement models and risk allocation frameworks based on technical and financial assessments.
Financial Analysis & Modelling
- Build and review detailed financial models incorporating capital costs, lifecycle costs, revenue projections, and funding structures.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess financial risk and resilience of project outcomes.
- Interpret technical and cost data from engineering teams to inform investment decisions.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Liaise with clients, lenders, investors, and government agencies in relation to financial and commercial aspects of projects.
- Support the preparation of financial sections in proposals for international development-funded projects (e.g., ADB, World Bank, AIIB).
- Present financial findings and insights to senior management, project leaders, and external stakeholders.
Market Research & Sector Insights
- Conduct sectoral studies and market scans to identify investment trends, regulatory changes, and funding opportunities.
- Benchmark global and regional infrastructure projects to support project positioning and value-for-money assessments.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or related finance qualifications are an added advantage.
- At least 5 to 8 years of experience, preferably within engineering consulting, infrastructure advisory, or financial institutions involved in project finance.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (Excel, VBA or other tools).
- Understanding of infrastructure finance, PPP frameworks, capital investment planning and relevant regulatory framework.
- Familiar with engineering project lifecycles and infrastructure procurement processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into commercial insights.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, planners, and economists.
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Mandarin as an added advantage
