This project is a Federal Government project under the allocation of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development with the aim of providing a network of rural road and bridge structures to improve the socio-economic status of the residents in Dabong, Kuala Krai, Kelantan. The project has been approved by the Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department under the Rolling Plan (RP3) and the scope of the approved project is to build a 400-meter bridge with JKR R2 specification and a 0.8 km road with JKR R2 specifications.

The original scope proposed was to build a new bridge across Sungai Galas from Kampung Kemubu to Kampung Stong and build a viaduct to cross the railway line at Kampung Stong. This bridge is a route to shorten the distance and save travel time from Kampung Kemubu to Kampung Stong. Overall this project is much needed as the existing land route connecting these 2 areas is very far 30 km and takes more than 50 minutes. The population in this area is 7,700.
